Three Aphorisms for a Friday Afternoon
William Grosso @ September 15, 2006
For some reason, people have been speaking in aphorisms to me today.
Three were actually repeated by more than one person.
- It’s time to jump or get off the ledge.
- If you can’t be with the one you love: you’re selling yourself short
- What am I going to do? Wait around for a check?
Why am I recording this? Because either this was a very singular afternoon for me, or these three aphorisms are about to become cornerstones of the national dialog (and I want to be the first person to publicly record this shift in our national argot)
