Three Aphorisms for a Friday Afternoon

William Grosso @ September 15, 2006

For some reason, people have been speaking in aphorisms to me today.

Three were actually repeated by more than one person.

  1. It’s time to jump or get off the ledge.
  2. If you can’t be with the one you love: you’re selling yourself short
  3. What am I going to do? Wait around for a check?

Why am I recording this? Because either this was a very singular afternoon for me, or these three aphorisms are about to become cornerstones of the national dialog (and I want to be the first person to publicly record this shift in our national argot)
