Joe Blank is Throwing a Free Concert

William Grosso @ July 15, 2006

One of the very interesting things about the modern communications infrastructure is how much you wind up learning, almost inadvertently, about people you know. In the past week, I found out that two highly entrepreneurial people, whom I respect as entrepreneurs and business people, are also more active in the community than I had realized.

First, the other day, LinkedIn told me that Dave McClure is officially advising Kiva. I’m both impressed by Kiva and by Dave’s continuing efforts to do good in the world.

And yesterday, I found out that Joe Blank is hosting a a benefit concert to support McLaren Park. It’s on August 26th from 11:00AM-6:00PM at the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater in McLaren Park, San Francisco and there are a lot of great local bands participating.

The only question I have about Joe’s concert is: it’s summer, a sunny day in California, in the park. Are we really gonna sing the blues?
